Metaphysical Poetry I: The Poet Finds Their Voice 6-Week Workshop
This class introduces students to the poetry writing process and prompts them to explore their creativity, heart and voice. Students write from their perspectives and imagination to develop their own unique style and artistic craft. Through writing, students learn to use poetry as a medium for self-expression, self-discovery and personal empowerment. Through workshop, they learn about their work by hearing insights from different perspectives, and how to give feedback to other student work. This class is a safe space where students can share their personal stories and feel seen and heard by each other. By the end of the course, students will have a portfolio of their work and an understanding of their voice. No experience with poetry needed.

Each week students will present a poem for the workshop and hold space for each other’s work. “In his writing workshop, Frank created a haven for our soul voice. He beautifully knit a container of safety, heart, and truth in which deep healing occurred—a place to be seen and heard in the context of loving relationship. I am forever grateful for the space he provided in which I could drop in and unearth soulful, creative work that ached to be shared, and for his humble knowledge and encouragement which allowed me to grow as a writer.” – Noelle
