Community Roundtable is an opportunity for 22 Teachings students and community members to participate in discussion about topics that affect day to day activities and interactions with the outside world. These meetings offer community members opportunities to uplift, bond, and support one another by coming together and sharing thoughts and practices related to the topic of discussion. These roundtables will be led by head of Dream Studies and energy worker, Vanessa Baltodano.

Every moment holds a relationship, whether that be between people, things, or both. Each of these participants have a list of role options to choose from at any given time. The role chosen and the role given can be in conflict or in support of the goal. The goal is assigned by the moment, the individuals involved, or both. With this being considered, how can we define the role of “holding space”? In any interaction, what is the power of playing this role? Is holding space something we are expected to do at all times? If not, when is it appropriate to take on this role? When is it appropriate to abandon it? What gifts can from “holding space”? What can we learn about ourselves by taking on this role? These questions and more will be explored during this discussion.
