Magical Tools: Painting the Tattvas Ritual

From Tattvas and the Radiant Holy Breath Ritual Training: “The five tattvas are the 5 Sanskrit aspects of reality, represented in color and shape. They correspond to the Cosmic Elements. Painted on cards, the images of the 5 tattvas were employed by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in a technique known as scrying in the Spirit vision, practiced by the magicians of the Inner Order. In this way, the tattvas are used as portals to the elemental realms”

In this event, participants create the 5 Tattva cards, painting them and consecrating them for use as magical tools for divination, scrying, altar work, and personal magical use.

In addition to the theurgic nature of the consecration and activation process, , this process is done as an alchemical transmutational working as well, involving tarot divination and supplanting the tattvas upon existing Tarot Keys. The Keys are drawn from decks which are charging on the altars of the school.

Thus this becomes a potent process of self-discovery, intuition and rectification.

Upon receiving your order, your cards will be drawn for you by Naha and mailed to you. You will need to gather the following supplies:
1 bottle of white gesso
1 small pointed paintbrush and one flat one (see brushes link below)
tubes of acrylic paint: White, Black, Dark Purple/Indigo, Silver, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Magenta/Violet

You will also need some cardstock – you can use 6 or 7 index cards, or a manila folder will do well. You can also use junk mail printed on postcard stock. Does not need to be blank, we are just using it to create templates.

Please prepare yourself and your space accordingly for ritual working. Have your ritual journal or grimoire and something to write with.
