Tonight William discusses the topic of Devotion in the context of magical practice. As a complement to magical discipline, which concentrates of directing the self through will, devotion employs the magician’s receptive principles and engages the heart though attention,
virtue and sacred presence.

Where discipline is directed at the individual self, devotion extends outside the self beyond individual concerns and involves a different type of discipline having its being in the realms of spirit. Thus the practice of magical devotion builds upon magical discipline and purifies the spirit with access to divine wisdom as received from sacred rites, observances, tools and shrines, making tonights talk a ‘part two’ to the Lantern on Magical Discipline and assists the practitioner on their path on the Way of Return.

Speaking from his experiences walking the path, and offering plenty of wise council, the Lantern series is hosted by William Kiesel who shares stories, proposes theories, sheds a light upon history, and tells the tales you won’t find in books.

He introduces esoteric figures he has met in his life, shares his scholarship on an array of topics and offers mentorship from mouth to ear.
