El Aliso Student Assembly

Our quarterly school assembly is an opportunity for students and faculty to meet for the sharing of intentions, news, and inspiration for the coming quarter.

All students and prospective students of 22 Teachings are encouraged to participate in the assemblies, which are free to attend.

Our Spring Assembly was held on March 24th. You can download it and the last Assembly Winter 2024 here:

22 Teachings School of Hermetic Science and Magical Arts is housed in Newberry Lofts, built in 1909 and originally a produce warehouse for J. R. Newberry Co. The location is in close proximity to the original foundations of Los Angeles, which was founded by Spanish settlers in the 1780s.

Before the settlers, the indigenous Tongva people inhabited this land and held council under the sycamore tree that was called El Aliso. For 400 years the tree marked this meeting point, and it is in honor of the land, its people and history that we call our assembly “El Aliso”.
