22 Teachings Holidays

Our school tradition has founded 2 holidays, which we celebrate yearly.

Fools Day – every April 1st

The tradition of our school holiday Fools Day originated in 2017 when the Arboretum Mysticum Lodge was first dedicated, and it became an official holiday of the AM Lodge.

Of course everyone know April Fools day as one celebrated by pranking and practical jokes, but in a contrarian act of blessing, on our Fools Day we do the opposite – and celebrate by doing random acts of kindness. Over the years the holiday grew into a full day-long spectacular convergence of students and faculty with guest speakers and teachers all offered for free.

It is more than a gift from the school, it is a very special yearly tradition inspired by the innocence, faith, and magic of the archetype of the Fool. An opportunity for us to all come together to share, learn, laugh and bond, and all we ask in return is that you pass it along by doing a random act of kindness for another unsuspecting human.

The second school holiday is LUX AESTIVA – Summer Splendor, which takes place on the first Wednesday (Mercury’s day) each year after the Sun enters Virgo (usually last weds of August)

LUX AESTIVA is a celebration of the Magician, A holy day honoring Hermes Trismegistus, the triple avatar Hermes-Mercury-Thoth, hosted and celebrated around the world by the students and community of 22 Teachings and the AM Lodge.

We also use all ticket sales of LUX AESTIVA celebrations to fund our student scholarship fund.
