The Serpent’s Path: The Magical Plays of Florence Farr (this is a smaller pamphlet kinda thing with 4 plays; could be a nice supplement to Rebels and Priestesses)

KeymasterTaking a look at this Zinzolin Book of Occult Fiction, You’ve got 22 different authors in there so a nice mixed bag. Might be nice to follow the next bookclub up with another fiction offering. I’m still in the first quarter of Sea Priestess but I love it! How did you guys finish this in 3 weeks? I need more time to read

Jessica ChappellModeratorSea Priestess was great, I guess we got so deep into the story it became a breeze. Part of me wants to read Moon Magic by Dion Fortune soon-ish too 🙂 The Zinzolin Book of Occult Fiction looks rad though!

Jessica ChappellModeratorAny requests for anything by Paul Foster Case? 😀

Eva RA36ModeratorI’ve have some additional suggestions:
On The Tarot – Le Monde Primitif. I know we just did a Tarot book – so I’m suggesting it for a reading at a future date. I learned today in a class with Naha that Case, Waite and other authorities on the Tarot have pulled from this book.
Between Good & Evil by William Gray. I’ve only read a couple of pages and was thinking to myself…. I wonder what Angie would think about that? I wonder if Kirk would know something more about that….
Also… if the group is interested in taking on something long term, The Book of Self Creation by Jacobus G Swart. However, from what I understand, this is a ‘how to’ book of the Western Mystery Tradition. I don’t want to exclude anyone that is not following or interested in this path. But if every one is game, this is a 500+ page tome that I’d love to tackle with group.
Thanks for read and I’ll see you at next book club!

Jake SParticipantThe Divine Invasion by Philip K Dick. It’s a sci fi gnostic parable with a healthy dose of exegesis. My favorite book.

Anjie VixParticipantEgregores or The Path of Alchemy by Mark Stavish
The Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie
How To Understand your Bible by Manly P Hall
The Alchemical Nights by Riccardo Villoanova (MRA)I’d also suggest The Ritual and Doctrine of Transcendental (or High) magick by Eliphas Levi; fair warning, it is DENSE and would probably take a lot longer to go through as a book club because the doctrine part is FULL of research wormholes- might even be worth just doing the doctrine part for all the research holes as the ritual section is a lot of foundational old school magic stuff.

Jake SParticipantBit of an oddball request as it’s not related to occultism or the western mystery tradition, but I’ve had a lot of synchronistic experiences with House of Leaves.
