Taking a look at this Zinzolin Book of Occult Fiction, You’ve got 22 different authors in there so a nice mixed bag. Might be nice to follow the next bookclub up with another fiction offering. I’m still in the first quarter of Sea Priestess but I love it! How did you guys finish this in 3 weeks? I need more time to read

Even though this was a vertical path, I’m trying to unpack it like layers on the same theme and not separate levels.
Also, the vision was sharper this time, I feel it’s the proximity to Tipharet and the first time I’ve considered the light of the connecting sphere “coloring” my vision on the way. In retrospect, this is true of paths leading to Netzach and Hod, even just the color of the light or subconscious awareness they’re before me.
An interesting thing to consider and apply to journeys and daily life examples. Which is where we find so much real teaching from the pathworking experience. There is a lot of messages these days about the journey vs. the destination. -

I am so happy to be back at Lodge. Thank you sooooo much for holding this space for us. It’s so extremely powerful and the evolution from when I previously attended has unfolded and blossomed in such an awesome way.
I have a question for you, I’m hoping you can help me with. Something new is the passcode to the interior temple. I think what we’re saying is “Avir bahir razi bira”. When I move it into Hebrew, I get “ אוויר בהיר רזי בירה”. When I translate that, I get “air bright secret citadel” or something like that! I wonder if I’ve made a big mess of this and what it really translates to!

Hi Yes, it is part of the lore! The story is that after we left HOI, and while we built the school, we had to put the Lodge on a hiatus during that period. So much was happening during that time that I didn’t have the ability to do it, or a place. (I was renting space for Middle Pillar to continue, and for the Tarot School which was in session at the time) When we were finally ready to reconverge, it had been 217 days. I knew that number was going to have a special significance, and that in the sacrifice of that time there would be something gifted to the Lodge. What it was was the secret invoking formula of the interior temple – Avir Bahir Razi Bira which translates as (through sacred) Breath (we create the) Shining Secret Temple
Each word has a value of 217. Bahir is especially significant as it is an important Qabalistic Source work, Sefer Bahir is also called the Book of Illumination. It is a light, brightness or shine which illuminates.

In the visualization, the stopping point is not chosen, it is determined by how tall you are able to hold a vision of yourself in your imagination. You will reach a point where you feel your consciousness can not perceive anything vaster. It is at that point that you have grown to the height of the supernals and can send your arm (or wand) upward to reach higher than you can perceive. In this you are symbolically saying, even in my greatest vision of myself, I realize that the All is still beyond my capacity to envision. You may find that this increases over time. The order is
Terrestrial (the levels of roof, atmosphere)
Planetary (Solar System)
Celestial (Starry cosmos/Galactic)
At this point you may reach “The Abyss” on the Tree.
That is the point where you see nothing but inky blackness. Usually this is the point that I stop but I am aware of a light source above me. That is Keter. But we reach through Keter, to the veils of the Unmanifest. This is outlined in Hermetic Qabalah Level 1 – Reinitiation.

Hi Fola, yes, there are different ways to attribute the decans to the names. We are using the older French/Martinist traditional way of beginning the names at Aries as Brandy stated above. We worked this out in some of the preliminary workings, and it was discussed in the week entitled Creation of the 72. By the time we began I felt confident in using this method, (magicians seem split down the middle) and this is not the Golden Dawn tradition which begins the names at Leo. However, the work is extracted from Exodus, a Hebrew text, so we are using the Hebraic association of Aries being the beginning, rather than the Ancient Egyptian Leo starting point. This also was confirmed through the association of the names with the 12 Zodiacal banners, which places the first 6 names with the Banner YHVH which corresponds to Aries.
With all things “correspondence” related, let us remember that systems are synthetic creations of humankind to assist us in working with and contemplating Divine and metaphysical concetps. The systems are not Divinity themselves. So we choose a path through the mysteries in order to make progress, and in the case of the Lodge, we chose the path that places the first name at Aries, thus the 28th name at Leo. See you tomo! -
Hi Matt! I remember looking up the Dolphin symbol in antique furniture a few years back because its such a common motif. This is from Antiquetrader.com :
“The first motif that caught my eye was the stylized dolphin used on classic European furniture. Some scholars have argued that this is a representation of a mythical beast rather than a dolphin. It is likely that early representations of this motif by European artists were influenced by Asian imports. However, the diving dolphin motif was also very popular on French and Italian bookbinding in the 15th century. Slight variations can be seen with the progression of time, but it is still a steadfast and beautiful embellishment sought after by many collectors. Architectural historians consider the dolphins to symbolize swiftness, charity and love.”I don’t know about their connection to Isis but quite possible, and I get the a connection to the imagery of the Chariot key, like the 2 dolphins as the two creatures pulling the chariot forward, in the case of andirons, a chariot of fire perhaps? 😉
Also chariot connects to the idea of the Moon/Sea/Cancerian Cardinal water, etc.

Hi Victoria, sorry I left this unaswered for so long! It’s a great question and the idea is that you are aligning with the “center” of the Lodge, which is the Temple space from which we broadcast. It connects you to the group working and places you energetically “at the same time” as everyone, recognizing that at any moment, The Sun may be high in the sky. It is the importance of the fullness of the Sun adding to the light of our working, shedding its all-revealing light upon the work, more than the actual timezone which your physical self is currently in.
The same is true of Pathworking.
Its a new era, these are not questions that would have been addressed by magicians of old, and we have the opportunity to achieve understanding that they could not! -

Wow yes I’ve seen this before too. I think there is a lot to consider here in the audience that is speaking to. In orders and Lodges, people progress at individual rates. There is so much else to consider. For instance, someone who comes into ritual magic but who has already had a yoga practice for years earlier, is in a much better place to understand ritual workings than someone who has never felt, visualized or worked with their subtle bodies before. In my opinion, the life you live up until the time you first do an LBRP is still valuable, and magical, and may have prepared you for better or worse. (Some things need to be unlearned)
Also, what constitutes studying – other rituals, reading books, trying practices? In my opinion, we shouldn’t wait to study when we feel the urge, but practice is essential, so learn, study, practice, repeat.
The point is, practicing the LBRP daily will allow you to build concentration and commitment. It’s like the chop wood/carry water part of practice. But there is a time to seize the day, and take your practice to the next level by continuing your studies. I think its a good rule of thumb to get secure and comfortable performing any ritual before moving on to the next training, but that need not take a year to complete.
