LIMINA (Latin for thresholds) is a new monthly series exploring the mystery traditions: philosophies and magical practices that have come from the great thinkers and theurgists of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds with Professor Manuel Casanueva.

This open series of conversations is oriented toward the central questions, concepts, and sensibilities of Greek and Roman antiquity which still resonate today, and introduces the modern student of magical arts and science to the roots of their traditions.

No prior knowledge required, only curiosity. These gatherings invite participants to reflect on ideas, symbols, and questions that shaped ancient thought and form the source of a great current in the Western Mystery Tradition.

June: The Daimon: Secrets of the Soul

An open discussion on ancient reflections about the soul, its nature, and the different ways Greek and Roman traditions approached questions of inner life, transformation, and human destiny.

Manuel Casanueva is a ritual philosopher and classical philologist at 22 Teachings. His work brings Ancient Greek and Latin texts into living theurgic practice. Through recitation, careful translation, and contemplative training, he approaches language as a sacred, operative act. His teaching presents tradition as embodied, experiential, and alive.
