Prerequisites: None, but Tarot School 9-Week Course is recommended. Participants should have a foundational understanding of the Tarot. This course is not for the complete novice.

In 1909, the Rider and Co. occult publisher released a set of 78 illustrated cards designed by a ceremonial magician in the Western Mystery Tradition. Executed by the Jamaican artist and Golden Dawn occultist Pamela Coleman Smith, these cards became the most iconic Tarot deck in existence, recognized around the world with its archetypal royal figures, emotional scenes of struggle and of bliss, and facets of human experience from the sea to the mountain, families and workers, and figures in all manner of living. Yet beyond first glance, a deeper message and language is revealed, in the symbols, colors, patterns and deliberately drawn objects, animals and landscapes.

Symbols are the language of the subconscious, the keys that unlock hidden truths and universal principles. In this course, Jessica leads an exploration of the rich symbolism embedded within the Rider Waite Smith deck, unraveling the significance of enigmatic imagery, such as boats, crowns, bridges, cloud formations, and numerous other symbols. The elementals and inhabitants, architecture, agricultural symbols and clothing of the characters will be revealed as more than just aesthetic, through the thorough research and wisdom that Jessica brings as a career Tarot reader and ceremonial magician in the same tradition as the artists of the cards.

This 4-part course includes lectures, creative exercises, and practical applications. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the symbolic language present within all the Tarot cards and its symbolic language and be able to make new connections between them, enhancing their tarot studies and cultivating a deeper connection to the universal truths represented within each card.
