I strongly suggest William Kiesel’s The Lantern V: Crossing the Abyss. I’ve just started listening to it and this class adds another layer to the chapter.

I know we could have talked about Da’at all day. 🙂

I’ve desired to tackle this book and would love to do it with this group.

Also, Manly P Hall’s “The Secret Teachings of All Ages”

      I’ve have some additional suggestions:

On The Tarot – Le Monde Primitif. I know we just did a Tarot book – so I’m suggesting it for a reading at a future date. I learned today in a class with Naha that Case, Waite and other authorities on the Tarot have pulled from this book.

Between Good & Evil by William Gray. I’ve only read a couple of pages and was thinking to myself…. I wonder what Angie would think about that? I wonder if Kirk would know something more about that….

Also… if the group is interested in taking on something long term, The Book of Self Creation by Jacobus G Swart. However, from what I understand, this is a ‘how to’ book of the Western Mystery Tradition. I don’t want to exclude anyone that is not following or interested in this path. But if every one is game, this is a 500+ page tome that I’d love to tackle with group.

Thanks for read and I’ll see you at next book club!

TEMPRANCE: On Page 155 PFC challenges us “You might also look up Iris in a good dictionary of mythology”

In the Dictionary of Symbols by Penguin Reference Book of Symbols, pg 542 “Iris” – In Greek mythology iris was the messenger of the gods and especially of Zeus and Hera. She was the female equivalent of Hermes. Like him she was winged, light-footed and swift. She wore winged sandals, carried a caduceus and dressed in a rainbow-colored veil which fluttered in the breeze. ‘she symbolized the rainbow and, more generally speaking, the links between heaven and earth, gods and humans’. Because in his Theogony Hesiod describes her as the daughter of Thaumas (wonder) and Electra (amber) some are inclined to regard her as the symbol of and channel through which flows a divinely derived psychic fluid.

      See you all tomorrow!

      Hi

I mentioned the wrong book title at today’s meeting. It’s actually called the Dictionary of Symbols by Penguin Reference. ISBN 978-0-140-51254-0

It’s been really useful. If anyone has any other suggestions for references, I’d love to hear them.

      See you all next week!

Hi Folks – I found a PDF of The Light of Asia by Edwin Arnold as stated on page 160 (in my version) that W.E.B. states is a magnificent explanation of Divine Law:

In case anyone was curious in looking into that.
