      Hello Beautiful Humans,
My name is Melinda Joy, I’m currently residing in the Bay Area (the northern portion to those of you who are also in this area of California). I have loved the effects my 22T studies have had on my life and selfhood thus far, stoked to dive ever deeper with all of you. Blessings x

      Naha,
Have you already included Exodus 12:2 in your considerations re: where to start on the zodiacal wheel? Are one of the options associated with the Jewish new year? It jumped out at me today when I was reading my morning section. It seems significant that the textual context of the 72 names declares a beginning to the calendar when we are looking for a specific starting point on the zodiacal calendar. (I’m super cool with this being a rhetorical question and/or saved for our Shem Working Round Table, or whatever feels most appropriate to you.)

I too would like to be included on the official list of participants. And I too am trilled to explore so deeply and thoroughly and with such a fantastic group of beautiful humans.
Jen, your trip sounds like so much fun! I hope to join you next time.

      Hello Beautiful Humans,
I too am looking forward to lodge this morn. I’m reading through Exodus, and this morning I decided to try reading it out loud to my ancestor alter… and it felt so good! I’ve heard of others who read the Bible to their Christian ancestors, but this was my first try. Now I’m curious if others are incorporating their ancestors into their Shem working? If so, is there a part of your process and/or experience that feels good to share?
      Blessings,
      Melinda

It took me three tries to get it right. I really enjoyed color coding the letters to correspond to the appropriate sefirot. And using graph paper made it much easier for me to keep the letters lined up properly. Looking forward to looking at the names closer still 🙂

I am exploring sharing images you all. Let’s see how this goes. 🙂

This was inspired by AM Lodge on Oct. 23rd + the multi-day rainstorm that began that evening. A rainstorm like it is rare in CA where I live. The two experiences felt special to me.

I don’t see the image I tried to share, does anyone else? If not, any suggestions for my second try?

Correct Lexi. The ox plow method Naha taught us is threefold. First you write out all the Hebrew letters of verse 19 in a row with no breaks. If you locate my share above, this is my blue line. Then underneath the first row of 72 letters you write out verse 20 in the same format but you start at the end of the verse and line them all up backwards, this is my red line. You know you’ve done it right when the last letter of verse 20 lines up with the first letter of verse 19 & the first letter of verse 20 lines up with the last letter of verse 19. Then, you take the last verse (21) and write it out just like you wrote out verse 19, underneath the first two rows of letters you already have. If you are still referencing my photo, this is my yellow row. So now you’ve got three rows & 72 columns. Read the columns from top to bottom and you are reading the names 🙂

Oooooooo! Thank you for sharing!! Are you marking out different sections there on the bottom?

Ahhhh… so glad Exodus 12:2 is being considered. And I see that it is a bigger puzzle. Thank you so much for the intentionality and thoughtfulness with which you lead us 🙂

      Manu,
I’m so looking forward to seeing your transcriptions! Are you perhaps struggling with posting a photo? If so, I struggled too, I ended up making a personal website where I could upload my photos and then post a link to them here in the forum. If others have found smoother less complex ways to post photos I’d love to be educated 🙂
      Blessings!

Very much enjoyed this. I learned all the academic perspectives while in college, so it was fun having my view challenged and observing how that felt in my body. Yes, all super good. TY!

So curious! Have you double checked to see if it is the same in other texts? I think it could be a misprint. I just checked my JPS Tanakh, and I don’t see this oddity, all my mem’s are final.
