Ok so I think I’ve resolved this, at the moment my feeling is that the figure being referred to is the alchemical illustration (crow and skull) which is on the flipside of the very first page in the blue cover version, I believe that I just assumed that the emblem was added in by the publisher to indicate that the book was an alchemical work, but not actually part of the translation itself. Happy to hear any further thoughts on this if anyone has anything to add 🙂

      Hi Everyone!

Regarding the differences between the two versions of the book, I have the version with the blue cover and I thought there was a comment about the other version having plates or images that differed or were left out of the version I have? I was wondering if anyone had insight into this, or perhaps might be able to show which images are not in the blue cover version.

The comment that Canseliet makes in the first preface about the key to the major arcanum being given in a figure illustrated in the book is why this got my attention. Since an artist was apparently involved with creating the book, I found this to be interesting 🙂

Also, does anyone have the French version of Le Mystère?

      Thank you!
