Hi Lexi, Great question. Pronunciation is based on the vowels used not on the letters, that’s why there are so many conflicting transliterations. All original texts are written without vowels. Unless you have a very deep knowledge of the Hebrew language (root words, tenses, contextual clues), it’s a guess as to how to pronounce words. I hope this helps.
