This evening William Kiesel presents the work of artist Leonora Carrington, a British born expat who lived much of her life in Mexico.
While associated with the Surrealist movement, Carrington expressed the feminine nature of the creative process in artworks that often went beyond the surprising juxtapositions typical of the movement.

Drawing from the Surrealist playground of the unconscious, Leonora used traditional magical symbolism as expressed in her dreams, writings and visual works that included personal magical processes in biographical and cultural contexts.

Her work serves as potent and instructional inspiration for the creative process which is vital for any practicing magician.
