Psychology of Tarot 4-Week Course
Teacher: Frank
Prerequisites: None
Recorded for absentees: Yes

This interdisciplinary workshop combines tarot, psychology and writing. Each session connects the cards of the major arcana to different psychological concepts and therapeutic tools. For example, the Humanistic psychology concept of “Unconditional Positive Regard” will be connected to the card of “Strength” as a new interpretation for the archetype. Discussions will include psychology writers like Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud, and Carl Rogers, and theoretical orientations like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and Attachment Theory, to name a few. Included in each session are writing prompts for the cards so students can personally explore the material and apply it to their lives for healing and integration. By the end of the class, students will have a new understanding of the 22 major arcana and a deeper connection to themselves.
